Some Tahoma School District staff are required to be CPR/First Aid certified, per their job description. Our district nursing team is currently offering training opportunities for staff who wish to update their credentials at no cost. Please note: Staff are NOT required to utilize a district provided session, and they are able to receive/update their certification through an external training provider.
The classes offered by the district nursing team are for Tahoma School District staff only. The two current classes are for recertification only. If your certification is expired by more than one month you are required to take the full class again. Full certification classes will be held in January/February, and this page will be updated with registration links at that time.
Staff are responsible for maintaining their own certification. If obtained through an ARC trainer you can search for your certificate, including the expiration date, at: https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/digital-certificate
District staff should direct questions about CPR trainings to TSD Nurse Supervisor Jennifer Lyons. If you are unsure if you need CPR certification for your role, please reach out to your immediate supervisor.
